His songwriting appears on multiple releases that debuted at #1, including The Emerging Sound Volume 4 and Volume 5—featuring “Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb” and “Jesus the Mighty One.” He also co-authored “I Was Glad” on Phil King’s album Bless My Soul, which debuted at #1, and wrote on “We The People Praise,” featured on Walls Fall Down from People & Songs, which also debuted at #1.

His writing includes the wildly popular “Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone),” a Scripture-based worship song written at The Emerging Sound. The viral live video was captured at the Linger Conference, hosted by Shane & Shane, featuring People & Songs with lead singer Joshua Sherman. It has since traveled the world and continues to be sung by churches globally.

During his early college years, Tobin relocated to La Porte, Indiana, to write with The Emerging Sound, where he was mentored by Jennie Lee Riddle, writer of the globally influential worship anthem “Revelation Song.” Tobin has written many songs with Jennie, several of which appear on his EP, Holy And Wholly Worth It. During this formative season, he wrote, recorded, and toured with People & Songs, playing electric guitar and performing in venues ranging from house churches to stadiums.

He has recently moved to Amarillo, Texas, where he studies psychology. He has a deep love for the local church that has burned bright since his childhood. He actively serves the Church through his leadership and songwriting crafted to endure beyond trends to anchor hearts in the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
